I want to be part of you.

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

I don't have confidence in myself

I give up before I even try because it's impossible

I stifle my feelings in order to fit in with the people around me

I don't have the courage to take the first step forward like Mr. Hirano.

I have been exposed to a lot of thoughts and feelings because of the feedback I receive when I give lectures to students

Every time I do this, I realise that there are many people who put their own weight down even before they take on the challenge.

I have my own experiences as an adolescent when I was withdrawn, and I understand how it feels to be timid or to be unable to take a step forward. But the less time you spend in such withdrawal, the better.

If your bold step is not a life-threatening challenge, consider that you don't need to be afraid of failure or scared of anything.

Even if you are depressed because your challenge doesn't work out, don't look down, look forward.

Human life is long and short, but it goes by in a flash.

In this limited life that we have been born into through the workings of life, can we be satisfied with ourselves if we live a half-hearted life, hesitating and compromising?

No one really knows why they are born and why they live.

Because we don't know, we have the power to think and act with our minds in search of the answer

You always have sensitivities that are different from others

I want you to think deeply about what you value in your everyday life and take a look at it.

If you look at yourself objectively, you will see the various aspects of your mind, both good and bad.

If you analyse yourself one by one, you will realise many things.

Life is a long journey to find out who you are

I want you to face your emotions at each moment and do your best to become the person you want to be.

I myself started playing powerchair football despite being severely disabled. Every day I went to school to study English on a crowded train. I went to the US and completed my studies in order not to lose my freedom of mind.

I have travelled around the world to make powerchair football international and helped promote the sport. I fulfilled my long-cherished dream of becoming a sportswriter and covered the Athens Paralympics. After retiring as an athlete, I turned to coaching and walked the coaching path.

All of these were challenges that would have been impossible for me to realise if I had remained stuck in my old shell. Through a chance encounter with a person and a single opportunity, I have carved out my own path, and here I am today.

It doesn't matter whether I have a disability or not, I just wanted to do everything I wanted to do with my one and only life.

Some of you are so tormented by loneliness that it's hard to even live in the moment.

My words may not resonate with those who are struggling alone in the darkness

But even if they do, I want to continue to share my experiences and thoughts throughout my life.

Because that is the reason why I was born the way I think I am now

I may not be able to change you

But I would be happy if my thoughts and feelings stayed with you, even if only a little

If even just one person in a hundred hears my words and they trigger a change in your thoughts and actions, then I couldn't be happier.

That's how people influence each other and the chemical reactions are still happening
